      If I could give this location and staff zero stars I absolutely would. Do not waste your time booking here they are not only unreliable but also rude.

      Booked a trailer at this location weeks prior, confirmed that booking. Arrived and it took them 20 minutes to let me know they don't have the trailer I booked and I need to call corporate. We ended up having to travel over 45 minutes to find another trailer at another location, with no help from the staff at this location.

      What kind of customer service is that? They couldn't care less that they completely left a customer hanging and weren't willing to help correct the issue they created.

      I wouldn't risk doing business here especially if you value your time.

      Went to this U-Haul and was assisted by Malee(? Wish I would have gotten the spelling) he was very helpful in picking out an appropriate U-Haul for our move and assisted me with carrying out my boxes to my car since my hands were full with a two year old. Overall, it was a pleasant experience and he was very helpful

      We booked our move from Hillsboro, OR to San Antonio, TX late last year. Snow was imminent in Hillsboro and I made sure I asked the first company I booked with if that was going to be a problem. They said no but cancelled a couple days before our move. We did not know what to do. This uhaul location literally came to the rescue. We ordered their moving boxes and were able to complete our move on time. Their delivery window was fast and the staff we dealt with were amazing. Thank you so much from San Antonio!

      Was helped immediately upon entering the store. Greeted by a fellow bay area resident. I needed a propane tank fill and the gentleman was extremely helpful and friendly as he worked on filling the tank. He greeted another customer with equal friendliness. Whenever I need a U-Haul service this Hillsboro location has had excellent customer service.
      I'm sorry I didn't get his name but he's an asset to your operation. Terrific attitude and service. Thank you!

      very rud liars. had purchased. a. hitch extender. was wrong size brought back and the guy. on the deshk said was used. look a scratch. ?? wait. no scratch. he was very Rudd. never used no scratch hey its a hitch steel. asked for manager said wait after half hr with bad looks. i said this is bs. he said you curse. stop or else. i left went tobeaverton u haul returned it with. no problem. they said its not a company store hillsboro was. trying to be racist. cause employee was a colored man trying to make a problem i will never go back.

      Very poor communication. Terrible customer service. No respect for customer's time Or property. Do not go to the store on Cornell Rd in Hillsboro For installations.
      I tried to order parts and schedule online, but it was too confusing. I didn't want to end up with the wrong parts ordered. I went to the store, explained this the the staff, said I wanted the standard size, he ordered what I needed and scheduled my appt for install 3 weeks later. Day of install I scheduled a ride so I could drop off my car, dropped it off and received a phone cal 20 min later asking if I was sure I wanted the 11/4" instead of the standard 2" receiver. 2 stars for catching it before installing it. I had them order the correct size, scheduled another appt 2 weeks later. It was installed this time, but I was not informed the wiring would be inside my hatch, under my storage compartment with the spare tire. I have To close the hatch on the wiring each time I want to use it. Also, there were two scratches on my bumper and some sort of large swirl smudge that wouldn't come off the paint. They denied doing it, denied being near the area! How does one install a receiver hitch under a bumper, wiring inside a hatch without being near a bumper?! They made me stand in the lobby for 45 min while they reviewed the video of the install, Alone! Just to come out, say nothing except they needed to charge me out.

      On the 10th I called to get set up for a hitch installation for the following Wednesday. After realizing I needed faster, I called back not 30 minutes later to reschedule with a rush order knowing I would need to pay more. The person on the phone said it was taken care of and to go in to this uhaul on that Thursday. I show up to find that the order for that day was cancelled and not the one for next Wednesday. The actual manager called around to see if one was nearby since they couldn't get a specific location based on the tracking number they had. He couldn't find one so I had to come back next Wednesday. Monday rolls around and I get a call to let me know the hitch installer quit and I need to go to another store. Three days of calling with no call back, I go in the day before the appointment to see where the hitch is. The fill in manager (really the worst person in the whole interaction) was less than helpful. A friend of mine and I both took time off of work to pick up a camper trailer for Thursday and at that point I needed a truck. I called into corporate and go a hold of the escalation team and told them what was happening. They offered a voucher to cover the cost of the truck rental but it would need to be approved by a manager at the location. The fill in manager who couldn't be bother to call me back all that week called me within 3 minutes to let me know he wouldn't approve the voucher. He then tries to say it's my fault since I only gave them 8 days. The escalation team calls me back to let me know they went over his head to approve the voucher. I cancelled the truck rental and go with another company to pick up my new camper. On my way back with the trailer, I call to see where the hitch is (in theory it still should be on the way), Come to find out the fill in manager cancelled the hitch order and didn't tell anyone. I couldn't believe how childish that was and for a manager to get so in his feelings over him not getting his power trip. I get transferred back to the escalation team and schedule another appointment for the following Tuesday (14 days since the initial call). I go online and order a hitch with 2 day shipping Friday morning and the hitch arrives a day early on Monday. Of course they never found the hitch at uhaul.

      The fact I can buy things from other stores both online and in person and get products either next day or a couple days later, always with a reliable tracking number shows it's nothing to do with "Covid messing up logistics/ shipping.", but uhual choosing to not pay for proper shipping. I'm not just talking about Amazon, but companies that are considerably smaller that either uhaul or Amazon.

      The real prince of the story was the fill in manager who, with whatever issues he has to work on, felt it was OK to just cancel an order without telling anyone. Who does that?!?! I didn't think he looked sixteen, but apparently that is ok. The fact he was a fill in manager means theirs rot at the top and it's not just a bad apple.

      Want to come here? Better pack a lunch.

      Terrible service. 30 minute+ wait, so far, just to get propane filled while there are two employees and one customer ahead of me.

      Employee claiming to "become the assistant manager next week" is casually chatting on the phone with an apparent customer about recently moving here from Louisiana, not having children, and trying to line up side work.

      Somewhat poor service before, but after this, I won't be back for rentals, supplies, or even propane.

      U-haul as a company, not just this location has no concept of what the word "reservation" means. I reserved a box truck. When I arrived they offered me a cargo van. Completely screwed me. The staff at the store were nice and understanding. The agent at the Portland dispatch was a complete jerk. She acted like the mix up was all my fault. She said I reserved the truck from 8:30pm til 3am! Why would anyone ever do that? Then 15 minutes after getting off the phone with her I got a text message from u-haul confirming my reservation at 8:30am. They overbook and then pick and choose who gets screwed. Great way to keep the equipment rented, but a terrible way to do customer service. Never will I do business with u-haul again.

      I am having a hard time putting into words how awful my experience was with uhaul. I got a 4x8 trailer to move across the country and the first day in I got pulled over because the lights on the trailer stopped working. I went to the first one I saw (somewhere in Minnesota) and the guy told me I have to switch trailers. I had to move every single thing I owned into a new trailer with no help. Then I was charged $430 for 6 days, apparently they charge you for 8 days even if you use it for 2 which is beyond a rip off since they advertise by the day. When I went to reserve it I was estimated $212 so it's truly bs that I was charged double. I have called customer service 3 times and have called multiple locations, no one is willing or cares to help. This location specifically had 3 awful men who refused to even look up my transaction when I dropped of my trailer. Idiots. Any good company would give me a full refund but uhaul almost seems to laugh at me. Will never return.
